Jennifer Lopez has been named celebrity mum of the year by New York’s Mingling Mums organisation.

Lopez gave birth to a beautiful set of twins recently and according to all reports, she and hubby Marc Anthony are loving being parents.

The organization decided that she deserved the award after finding out that Lopez and Anthony are planning on raising their twins, Max and Emme in their local neighborhood.

Also receiving an award at the ceremony was the mother of troubled popstar Lindsay Lohan, Dina.

Dina stated that all young starlets should “listen to their mother,” after collecting her award.

Jennifer Lopez has been named Celebrity Mom of the Year. The 'Monster-in-Law' star was given the honour by New York's Mingling Moms organization, after giving birth to twins Max and Emme - her first children with husband Marc Anthony - in February.

The organization decided to reward to 38-year-old Jennifer after it was revealed she had given birth at a hospital in Long Island, New York and is intending to raise the twins in the local neighborhood.

Lindsay Lohan's mom Dina, who will star alongside her other daughter Ali in a reality TV show to premiere on TV network E! this summer, was also honored at last night's 'Mom's Night Out' ceremony.

Upon accepting the award, Dina - who also works as Lindsay's manager - said she only had one piece of advice to help young starlets stay out of trouble.

She said: "Just to be honest and to stay morally correct. And listen to your mother."

Erica Logiudice, the president of Mingling Moms, said they had created the ceremony to recognize the people who inspired their children and helped them in their career.

She said: "We thought assembling such a list would be a great tribute to the women who were behind the scenes of these superstars' tremendous careers."

Other celebrity moms honored in the Long Island's Top 20 Celebrity Moms category included Alec Baldwin's mother Carol, Mariah Carey's mom Patricia Vian and Eddie Murphy's mother Lillian Robinson.

It wasn't easy leaving little Max and Emme to attend Monday's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in NYC.

"They're missing us!" Marc Anthony told sources of their newborn babies.

The twins are "fantastic!" added a glowing Jennifer Lopez.

Lopez who showed off her post-baby bod in a one-shoulder Alberta Ferretti frock hobnobbed with pals Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and David and Victoria Beckham at the bash. (She even gave Posh Spice a big hug!)

Lopez and Anthony welcomed their babies February 22 in New York's Long Island.

She has said she's unsure whether she’ll be a working mom.

"I don't know and I like that, because my life has been so planned for so many years," she told Harper's Bazaar.

She's signed on for the movie Love and Other Possible Pursuits, which begins shooting later this year.

Jennifer Lopez is in talks with the TLC cable channel to create a new series. Lopez's manager, Simon Fields, says, contrary to some reports, the shows will not feature her children and family life.  "It's a show that will track the creation, production and eventual launch of a new fragrance,"  he says. The series is expected to air later this year.

In an effort to keep the event unpublicised, Lopez told guests invited to her 2004 nuptials to singer Marc Anthony the event was an "afternoon party".
And the manoeuvre worked - as filmmaker Luketic, who directed Lopez in Monster-in-Law, was clueless as to the gathering's actual purpose.
He recalls, "She told me it was a barbecue because she didn't want anyone to know about it.
"Being the nice Aussie boy I am, I thought I'd bring a bit of BYO (bring your own alcohol) and wear my summer clothes. I turned up to this mansion on Mulholland, walked in the living room and all her family and everyone was there.
"I remember storming into the bedroom and saying, 'You told me it was a barbecue,' as J-Lo was slipping into her wedding dress."

The couple are performing in Venezuela next week and are keen to have the babies with them.

‘They are going to stay in a presidential suite at a five-star hotel and have ten additional rooms on the same floor, and several cars at their disposal,' an insider tells Star.

'They will also have the best doctors on standby.’

Jen, 38, gave birth to twins Max and Emme on 22 February.

The singer had failed romances with P Diddy and Ben Affleck and has been married twice before.

Jack Bunick claimed South Beach, which made it debut in 2006, was too similar to a 1999 pilot of a show that would have been called South Beach Miami.

US District Judge Richard Berman said there was "powerful evidence" Ms Lopez and TV networks UPN and CBS had independently created South Beach.

Mr Bunick's lawyer was unavailable to comment on the case.

The show, about friends Matt and Vincent who moved to South Beach to find a better future, has since been cancelled.

The judge also revealed Mr Bunick had admitted his scripts included generic ideas and commonplace elements of the club and modelling scene in South Beach, Miami.

Counsel for Ms Lopez, who was executive producer of the series, said in court papers she was barely involved in its creation and was only brought in at a later stage to "lend celebrity to the show".

Last week it was announced Ms Lopez will star in her own reality TV series, which will be based on her life as a singer, actress and new mother.

“The recent show Jennifer Lopez plans to produce for TLC is not a reality show,” says her manager, Simon Fields. “It’s a show that will track the creation, production and eventual launch of a new fragrance. Jennifer will appear in a creative, entrepreneurial capacity and will absolutely not feature her children and family life.”

There is no broadcast date set for the show, but Fields says it will be this year.

Jennifer Lopez is set to star in her own reality TV show, allowing cameras into her life to show how she juggles her career with her new duties as a mother to twins.

The I’m Real singer recently gave birth to Max and Emme.

Lopez who will also produce the series on US cable station The Learning Channel (TLC)said: “I’m looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together.”

TLC President Angela Shapiro-Mathes added: “Jennifer is unbelievably passionate about life and will be an incredible role model for our audience.”

The series which will also focus on the launch of the star’s latest fragrance is currently in production.

Lopez, 38, is the latest in a long line of celebrities to have their own reality TV show.

Pamela Anderson recently signed up for her own series, which will also document how the mother-of-two copes with the demands of work and family life.

Jessica Simpson starred in MTV show Newlyweds with ex-husband Nick Lachey, while Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly and Jack Osbourne proved a huge hit with viewers when cameras followed their everyday lives.
