Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were the picture perfect family as they frolicked on the beach with their adorable twins yesterday. Anthony joined Lopez in Malibu as she worked on a Gucci photo shoot with two-year-old Max and Emme.

Despite having been married for six years the couple looked like newlyweds, sneaking kisses during breaks and strolling the beach hand in hand. When they weren't locking lips the love struck singers played the role of devoted parents, paddling in the sea and swinging their children around in the air.

We told you Jennifer Lopez was backing out of a concert in North Cyprus after receiving backlash because of the political situation in the region. Of course, it’s not just as easy as saying ‘Oh, no thank you, nevermind’ because the scoop is that Jennifer may be facing a lawsuit if she doesn’t go through with the performance.

The number that’s being thrown around is 40 million dollars, which seems excessive but it’s apparently true and nobody wants to be sued for that amount! The show is supposed to happen July 24th. What a disaster!!

Jennifer Lopez may be sued for up to $40m (£26.5m) after pulling out of a concert in northern Cyprus. Although booked for a concert in the island's Turkish-occupied north, the US singer cancelled her appearance last week, citing the "political realities" of the region.

But according to the owners of the resort where Lopez was to perform, politics matter much less than the fine print of the singer's contract. "The cancellation ... is not covered by any clause in the contract she signed with us," insisted Murat Bozoglu, CEO of the Istanbul-based company. "The contract has not been terminated," he told Agence France-Presse. "If she does not show up for the concert, we will begin a procedure in the courts to claim $35-40m in damages."

Jennifer Lopez has canceled a concert planned for the July 24 opening of the Cratos Premium Hotel and Casino, responding to online pressure  against the performance.

"After a full review of the relevant circumstances in Cyprus, it was the decision of her advisors to withdraw from the appearance.

The island split violently into a Greek-speaking south and Turkish-speaking north after a 1974 invasion by Turkey; Turkish Cypriots in 1983 declared independence in the north, recognized only by Turkey.

The rest of the island joined the European Union in 2004. Some saw Lopez's planned performance.

As an endorsement of the breakaway state. The gig, scheduled for J.Lo's 41st birthday, reportedly  would've come with a $3-million paycheck.

Lopez's gig at a luxury hotel had triggered angry protests among Greeks accusing her of according legitimacy to northern Cyprus, a breakaway state recognised only by Ankara.

The singer Jennifer Lopez has angered Greek Cypriots by agreeing to perform in Turkish-held northern Cyprus. She is to mark her 41st birthday by staying at the "single biggest hotel project both sides of the island" in exchange for a one-off concert on 24 July to celebrate its opening. So far 7,000 people have signed up to a Facebook campaign demanding that the Latina star pull out. North Cyprus has been a pariah state since it was occupied by the Turkish army in 1974.

The celebrity had been invited to celebrate her 41st birthday on the island, in return for taking part in a one-off concert. But the arrangement has upset the Greek Cypriot community, which has launched an online campaign to persuade her to cancel the concert, according to the Guardian.

Thousands of people have signed a petition asking the singer to reconsider her decision to perform in the territory, which is not officially recognised by the United Nations. Cyprus was invaded in 1974 by Turkish troops and has been divided between Greeks in the south and Turks in the north ever since.
