Jennifer Lopez opens up about love, heartbreak and motherhood

Jennifer Lopez has admitted being dumped by Ben Affleck just days before their wedding day totally changed her. Jen and Ben had easily the most high-profile relationship in the world at the time - meaning everyone got to see it fall apart just before they were due to tie the knot. And Jennifer, giving one of her most revealing interviews to date, admits she has never been the same since. 'I don't think I had ever been heartbroken in that way before - had so many hopes and dreams on something,' she said.
'This was the first time and it was tough. When you go through that kind of heartbreak in front of everybody you are not quite the same person you were before.' The superstar opened up about her past failures in love, including her time with rapper Diddy during which she admits: 'It did get ugly - it did get sordid.'
She also admits that her numerous marriages were her way of chasing the dream romance. 'I always wanted that fairytale,' she said. 'It just didn't work out. 'But I kept trying - you can't blame a girl for trying!' The star insists she now has a love she has never known before thanks to Emme and Max, her twins with husband Marc Anthony.
The star says giving birth was s special, adding: 'I didn't even want to leave the hospital - I didn't want the moment to end. That's when things became really clear to me - what love truly is. It's that pure, that unconditional, that kind.'
