Jennifer Lopez has played moms in movies, but the singer/actress tells "Extra" that she's gotten infinitely better since the birth of her 20-month-old twins, Max and Emme.

"I've played a mom, and I've had kids in movies before, but now you understand it in a different way," Lopez, 40, tells "Extra" as she and hubby Marc Anthony kick-off.

Now I can just be, and it makes it better." Giving birth has also helped Lopez grow as a singer.

It seems that Latino pop star Jennifer Lopez may have been stretching the truth about not having a nanny for her kids, for the singer and hubby Marc Anthony were recently spotted partying late night and hanging out on the beach- sans kids.

The 39-year-old singer had recently said that she doesn't have any nannies taking care of her twins.

However, speaking in favour of the 'Waiting for Tonight' singer, former Hollywood nanny Suzanne Hansen said that big stars usually prefer some kind of hired help, and not just a random one-night sitter from a nanny agency.

"That's just really rare," E! Online quoted Hansen, who authored a book on her experience, as saying.

"Stars don't usually hire one-day sitters unless they're having a party or something and need a few people to watch a bunch of kids.

"She probably has other people-not called nannies-who are taking care of her children.

"She has assistants, housekeepers-someone like that who probably also likes kids and who is likely keeping an eye on them," she added.

The perception may be that anything goes for private jet travelers, but as Jennifer Lopez is finding out, there are some limits to what you can get away with aboard a private jet. As first reported in the New York Daily News, NetJets flight attendant Lisa Watson filed a suit against the Latin diva seeking $5 million in damages from an alleged bite made by Lopez’s guard dog aboard a flight from Farmingdale, NY to Burbank, CA on July 3, 2006.

According to Wilson, 90 minutes into the flight, the dog attacked her and bit into her pant leg as she walked down the cabin of the Gulfstream G-IV. As she tried to get away, Wilson says she twisted and fell, injuring her back in the process. The injuries she sustained would eventually require surgery, and prevented her from being able to work since the incident.

Lopez’s guard dog, Floyd, a German shepherd, had been listed on the plane’s manifest as “a well-behaved guard dog.” Nevertheless, according to the filings, Lopez instructed Wilson on how to act around the animal. Wilson’s suit maintains that Lopez is “absolutely liable for all injuries” since “she should have known the dog had vicious properties.” In addition to targeting Lopez personally, the suit is also going after her production company, Nuyorican Productions.

The Do It Well singer, who gave birth to twins Max and Emme in February - wants to create a line of affordable clothes that women can feel comfortable in while working out.

A friend of the star, who already has three other brands in her fashion empire J.Lo, Sweetface and JustSweet - said: "She has some street gear already in her lines, but she wants something exclusively for sneakers, yoga pants and dance gear.

"She wants it to look great in the gym and in the street, and to be affordable and functional."

Following the birth of her twins, Jennifer splashed out $50,000 on a home gym to help her lose her baby weight after gaining almost 50 lb during her pregnancy.

A source said: "To motivate her, she's splurged out on a US$50,000 home gym for her New York mansion. She's also consulted trainers, nutritionists and doctors, looking for the safest way to drop the weight in record time."

Jennifer, 38, is also planning to start using food delivery programme Fresh Mommy, an all-natural food company which provides expectant or new mothers with healthy meals.

Jennifer Lopez met with Barack Obama's staff this week as she toured Washington to talk about issues close to her heart.

"Tuesday afternoon, Ms. Lopez was on the Hill with her sister to meet with staff members of several senators to discuss issues she is interested in, such as health care and education," her rep says. "She did visit Obama's office, but the senator was not there. She did not meet him, but did discuss health care with members of his staff."

The mother of twins, Max and Emme, had a straightforward meeting, according to Obama's spokesman.

"She just came in for the meeting and departed," says the spokesman. He adds: "It was not campaign-related."

Singer and film actress Jennifer Lopez reportedly dropped by presumptive Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama's Washington office for a meeting.

The Washington political newspaper said rumors are circulating that Lopez may be penning a song for the Illinois senator.

The “Waiting for Tonight” songstress and her “I Need To Know” crooner hubby were spotted at a press conference at the MUZ TV music awards yesterday.

And she wasn’t just there to answer questions and look pretty… J.Lo also treated the MUZ-TV Awards to a mini-concert, performing two songs.

Earlier in the day, the happy couple was spotted arriving at the Moscow Hotel, both wearing sunglasses and looking a bit jet lagged.

This is Hollywood, and, of course, the blessed event is complete with chandelier in the nursery, exotic moniker ("Honor" was being bandied) and starry shower. And by the time you read this, she already may be a proud new mother.

In "The Love Guru." she plays the levelheaded love object, the foil for Myers' manic mystic: "I'm kind of the straight woman throughout," she tells us while multi-tasking diva-style, getting her hair and makeup done for a photo shoot. "For the most part, the goofy stuff is left to everyone else."

Marc Anthony has hit the road promoting his upcoming “Juntos En Concierto” tour and during a phone-in with “The Billy Bush Show,” he offered an update on his three-month old twins Emme and Max.

“They’re just big and gorgeous,” he told Billy.

Marc revealed that he and wife Jennifer Lopez handle baby duties all by themselves.

“She expects me to help and she makes no bones about it,” Marc said. “I get the late shift. I get literally from 10 PM because we don’t have a nanny. It’s just me and Jennifer figuring it out. From 10 PM to 8 [AM], that’s my shift”

That’s right Marc and Jennifer have no nanny for their twins.

“It’s just us man,” Marc said. “We’re figuring it out and having a great time.”

When asked if Jennifer has been working out hard to get her figure back, Marc confirmed his wife is in fitness mode, but more importantly, she is all about their children.

“Yeah, yes she is, but she’s more in mommy mode,” Marc said. “She has three movies lined up and she’s eager to go back to work, but the babies have been a blessing all the way around and she’s just amazing. She’s such an amazing mom and I’m so proud of her. She’s such a gem to watch.”

Jennifer Lopez gave birth to the twins at a Long Island hospital on February 22. The hospital's official name was not disclosed.

Singer Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony have reportedly named their newborn twins Max and Emme.

Jennifer Lopez' manager, Simon Fields, broke the news of the named twins to People magazine last week. Emme, 5 lbs 7 oz, arrived within 15 minutes before her brother, Max, weighing in at 6 lbs.

Jennifer Lopez gave birth to the twins at a Long Island hospital on February 22. The hospital's official name was not disclosed.

Fields said Lopez, a first-time mother at 39, was "thrilled" at the babies' arrival. Her 38-year-old husband has three other children.

Lopez and Anthony married in 2004.

The babies arrived a day after both their parents were named as winners of Latin music's " Premio Lo Nuestro" awards.

It was Lopez's father David who broke the news that she was expecting twins. He told a Spanish language TV program that twins run in the family.
