Jennifer Lopez has become the latest star to appear on hit comedy show How I Met Your Mother. J-Lo guest-starred on the show playing a self-help author who writes books about how women can train men. Lopez, who appeared in a string of sexy outfits, tries to help 'break' Barney, played by Neil Patrick Harris, before he stands her up on a date. The singer guest-starred on the show just a week after country singer Carrie Underwood.

From a distance, Amanda Seyfried looks like she has the princess look down to a T in her pale blue frock with cone bodice. But up close it’s a whole different story as the pearl and lightweight net detailing make the frock look a little cheap.

The sighting comes as Miss Lopez, 40, gears up for the airing of her guest starring role on the hit CBS show “How I Met Your Mother”. Set to hit TVs on Monday, March 8 at 8PM, Jennifer plays “a femme fatale at the local bar who trades barbs and dirty talk with Barney,” the character played by show regular Neil Patrick Harris.

J.Lo will play a woman who seduces Barney in an attempt to teach the notorious Lothario a lesson by holding out on physical affection. Neil Patrick Harris's character seems up to the challenge! But we'll have to watch the whole episode on Monday, March 8th, to see who wins the war of wills.

In the episode to be aired March 8 on CBS, the 40-year-old singer will be seen attempting to "tame" Barney after Robin tells her how he acts toward women. Her character is been described as "a no-nonsense author of self-help books that teach women how to train men into relationship machines through the power of denial".

Jennifer Lopez has shot her cameo appearance for the "Of Course" episode in early February. Sharing his fun experience shooting with the "Louboutins" singer, series regular Neil Patrick Harris tweeted, "Jennifer Lopez was really great - hot, cool, and funny. And well prepared! She gave me a few pointers."

The Martha Stewart bit where she says “Because I’m Martha F*&king Stewart” seemed to have garnered the most laughs of the night. But right before that, I laughed at the Olsen Twins bit. “We’re just a couple of normal sized warehouse workers”. …I miss that show “The Simple Life”.

What can I say about Jennifer Lopez’s hosting and singing duties for the night… it wasn’t pretty. I’m sorry, Jenny from the block, but maybe you can’t have it all.

I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we’ve had great success,” the statement read. “I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label.”

Jennifer’s statement also confirms reports that she is already signed to a new label, though she did not mention which one. It’s rumored Jenny is making Island Def Jam her new recording home.
