Jennifer Lopez has splashed out $18 million on a new home. The singer-and-actress - who recently announced her split from her husband of seven years Marc Anthony - has purchased a stunning property in the exclusive Water Mill area of the Hamptons, New York.

The 14,000-square foot home - which was built in 2010 - boasts seven bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms and beautiful panoramic water views. Despite the property costing $18 million, Jennifer can definitely afford it as it was recently revealed she has re-signed to judge 'American Idol' when it returns to screen later this year for a reported $20 million.

 

The 42-year-old beauty is definitely moving on from the split with Marc but recently admitted it was the "hardest decision" she has ever made, but remained optimistic for the future. Jennifer - who has three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with Marc - said: "Sometimes it doesn't work - and that's sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love. It's still my biggest dream."
