This has been a bad week for Marc Anthony. First came a report that he's "livid" his soon-to-be-ex-wife Jennifer Lopez gave her boyfriend Casper Smart a $10,000 a week allowance. And now comes word that he "exploded in a fit of rage" when he overheard their 3-year-old twins call J.Lo's boy toy "Daddy Casper!"
The National Enquirer reports that Marc called J.Lo immediately and threatened to let twins Max and Emme call his girlfriend, 24-year-old Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima, "Mommy Shannon!""Marc couldn't believe his ears when he heard Emme and Max utter the words 'Daddy Casper' during a recent visit," an insider dishes to the mag. "He thinks Casper is nothing more than a young fling to make Jennifer feel better about herself after the divorce."
He's probably right about that. Jennifer Lopez has been parading Casper Smart around for the past few months. If dating someone half her age makes her feel better, more power to her! "Marc mockingly told Jennifer that if Casper wants to be called 'Daddy,' he needs to start acting like it and pay some of their children's expenses instead of just sponging off of her! Jennifer freaked out and told Marc he was childish, but she promised to correct the situation."
That bit about Marc Anthony wanting Casper to pay for the kids' expenses makes him sound like such an old man. What's next, is he going to tell Casper to get off his lawn?
But seriously, Marc has every right to be upset that his children are calling someone else "Daddy," especially since J.Lo is such a serial dater and the kids will probably be exposed to several different "daddies" before she marries again. (Hopefully she doesn't marry Casper!) And J.Lo obviously knows she doesn't have a leg to stand on or she probably would have fought Marc about it. A lot can be said about Marc, but from all reports he sounds like a good father, so hopefully he and J.Lo can figure out their situation and make sure their focus stays on the kids' needs.
