This Latin music theme week was an enjoyable change of pace and last night we watched as Haley Scarnato was voted off of American Idol. Scarnato was most likely to go because she was really hanging on with her sex appeal, and her talent was mediocre. She would be a great TV host one day, but a singer probably not.Lakisha Jones is actually moving down the ranks lately. She started out really strong and has been slipping slowly down the ranks. I know Phil Stacey isn’t getting all the fans, but I think after this last week he really has a voice worthy of taking notice. I think Chris Richardson will be possibly voted off next week, but you can never tell until they perform.Sanjaya Malakar is becoming a must have for the show. I mean it is fun to watch what he will do next. He has really added an entertainment to the show. But will it hold till the end? If it wasn’t for Sanjaya the show would be not so exciting.

Jennifer Lopez performed on last night’s show and sang in Spanish. She was wearing her high fashion clothes and her performance had lots of stage fireworks. So it was entertaining, and she is talented and don’t forget she also can act.We knew that Scarnato’s days were numbered. She held on with her skimpy clothes. Next week we are going to be feeling the pain for who gets voted off next. I think the entire remaining contestants are wonderful. Even Sanjaya has a place on the show; he kind of grows on you after a while.Next week is country music with Martina McBride coaching the final 7 contestants. We will hope that everyone will be able to pull this off; time to get those cowboy boots out.There is also an approaching deadline for American Idol Songwriter contest.
